About Maddy the Midwife
My Approach to Care
Autonomy is at the center of my approach to care. I am guided by trust in the physiological process of birth and a deep respect for every person's relationship with their body. I am passionate about ensuring that everyone receives respectful, nurturing, and healing care throughout their fertility care, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys—especially for those who live outside social norms and privileges. My services include fertility counseling, insemination services like IUI, and my care is holistic, individualized, trauma-informed, and family-centered, with a focus on the role of a midwife.
About Me
I am a Certified Professional Midwife, certified doula, lactation educator, and childbirth educator specializing in fertility care. Since 2021, I have been learning, training, and working alongside many incredible midwives in the Boston area, completing my studies at Jennie Joseph's Commonsense Childbirth School of Midwifery. My journey into midwifery began with community organizing, and I am dedicated to midwifery as a healing practice that includes providing fertility counseling and insemination services like IUI. In my spare time, I enjoy growing flowers, collecting hobbies (currently on quilting), and spending time with my partner and our dog.
My Services
I offer a range of services to support individuals on their conception, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journeys. My offerings include fertility counseling, which is a key part of fertility care, as well as insemination services and IUI. Additionally, I provide childbirth education classes and fourth trimester midwifery care.
